Privacy

I don't track you. There's no analytics here, no advertising, no third-party scripts following you around, and nothing is shared with or sold to anyone else. The site sets a single cookie, and it exists only to keep the contact form working safely — it isn't used to identify you or to remember you between visits.

The only personal information I hold is what you choose to send me through the contact form: your name, your email address and your message. I also note the address your message arrived from and the browser you used, purely to stop the form being abused by robots. Your email address is used for one thing only — to reply to you.

Messages are stored here on the site rather than emailed on, and I read them myself. Anything older than a year is deleted; if you'd like your message and your details removed sooner than that, just ask and I'll do it.

If the contact form shows a quick "are you a robot" check, that's Cloudflare Turnstile. It sets no tracking cookie, though it does see your IP address in order to do its job.

Images and attribution

Many of the coins catalogued here are ones I don't own, and the reference images for those are other people's photographs. Where I know whose work an image is, it carries a credit line beneath it. Attributing an image to the person it belongs to is simply the right thing to do.

If you own an image on this site and you'd rather it weren't here, please get in touch and I'll take it down. No explanation needed and no argument from me. Equally, if an image is credited wrongly — or credited to nobody when it should carry your name — tell me and I'll put it right.

If you send me an image to fill one of the gaps, I'll add it credited to you, and you're free to ask for it to come back off the site at any time.

My own work

The catalogue itself is mine: the reference scheme, the descriptions, the research, the correlations between the standard catalogues, the photographs of coins in my own collection, and the site built around them. It has taken a very long time to put together. I'd ask you to treat it the way you'd want your own work treated.

Do use it. Look things up, quote a line with a link back, point a fellow collector at a page — that's what it's here for. What I'd ask you not to do is take it wholesale: copying out the catalogue, scraping the site, republishing the images as your own, or presenting any of it as something other than mine. If you'd like to use something here beyond that, just ask. I'm very likely to say yes.

No guarantees

This is a personal project, put together carefully but by one person. I can't promise that everything here is accurate, complete or up to date. Varieties get reclassified, catalogue numbers change, and mistakes creep in.

Nothing on this site is a valuation, an authentication, or advice on what to buy. Please don't lean on it for a purchase, a sale or an insurance figure without checking against the standard references and a dealer you trust.

If you spot an error, I'd genuinely like to know — tell me and I'll fix it.
